Untitled poem, new poem
Written after Manzin posted this photo, which I find ridiculous beautiful for some odd reason.
It’s weirdly fucking written, because half way through I start to rhyme.
Breathe me in
scents of isolation, regret
(How much longer)
coffee brewing, lingers throughout
warmth in waves, against my chilled flesh
shoulder blades and collar bones
kisses, scars trail your spine
old vinyls whining, “don’t forget you’re mine”
God, the omniscient, image of good
but he’d spit at, smite me, curse me if he could
my list of sins stretch far too long
incapable of love, god’s given up, be gone
words that taste stale, that I; on them, I choke
As lovers come and go
attempt to mend this heart so broke
of a man who is the serpent under
the innocent flower
