Mars Magician.

New poem.

We get older and learn the tricks
Retire your stardust and your high kicks
Earth is really round and it’s fucked us up
Mars Magician decides he’s done enough
Disillusioned revolution
A fiery, riot waltz in Brixton
The omniscient takes a recluse position
There’s a telegram waiting
it states, “There’s still so much life for the taking!
Dust off those bluesy red shoes
Mars Magician, you’ve got nothing left to lose.
Those children, tall and experienced now
oh, they still love you.
Jot us a poem, sing us a song
there’s still so much time, don’t hesitate long.
The Earth was flat, and love, so free
but we discovered the trick
that Mars Magician is as human
as you, and me.
