Midwest Sorrow.

New poem.

To live inside your soul
To know the broken whole
feel the warmth of a drag
and rain drops in the cold
To live inside your mind
where pain does not heal with time
the difficulty of you becoming mine
To live inside your heart
Oh we were poison from the start
All we know are high rises and smoke in the dark
and the echo of music making its mark
To live inside your soul
Cannot fill the empty hole
or hold hands so cold
as you tread on through the showers
in a Midwestern sorrow
To live inside your soul
